The third Vocabulary Camp (VoCamp) is organized with the objective of scientifically preparing standardization of M2M communication for energy management of Energy using and producing Products (EupP) in buildings and its environments. It is organized under the auspices of the Adapt4EE project and the European Commission. This is the third series of VoCamps will take place in Kaiserslautern, Germany, at the German Research Center on Artificial Intelligence (DFKI).

In total, more than thirty key experts around Europe participated to the workshop. The main discussion in the workshop was around open BIM modelling and its enrichment using open standards such as IFC from buildingSMART in order to support enhanced building performance analysis during the whole life-cycle of a building.

Under the auspices of Adapt4EE European-funded project (FP7), a Vocabulary Camp will be organized on "Energy Efficiency in Buildings". This is the first series of a VoCamps that will be organized in the context of Adapt4EE and will take place on 15-16 November 2012 in Thessaloniki, Greece. The VoCamp event will be organized and chaired by Dr.Dimitrios Tzovaras from CERTH/ITI (Centre for Research & Technology Hellas / Information Technologies Institute), which is also the Coordinator of the Adapt4EE project.
